I have not made enough cues to have an opinion if you are ordering a custom. :wink: You might also state whether a "best hitting" cue means hard, soft, somewhere in between, or compared to??? smt

If its cored i woudn't think the surrounding wood would make a lot of difference. I did have a cored cocobolo BCM(Mordt) mw cue that played stupidly good.
