Buying a table at a Tournament/Expo

I was wondering if anyone out there has had the experience of buying a table after a tournament or at an Expo.

How did the buying process go? Did you have to arrange for delivery or did the dealer do that for you? And how did the table set up go at your house? Did you have to arrange that, too?

Was the price better when buying from a dealer?

Barbara...No help here, I have all the same questions. I will contact diamond this week to see if they are selling the tables from the Derby City Classic and let you know what they have to say.

a close friend purchased a NEW Pool Table at a Camel Tour stop, after the tournament. The table was an extra & still in a box. A year later, when the new house was finished, the contents of the box was a different style Pool Table, but just as nice...

If you want something special, do your homework for costs, styles, woods, finishes & setup costs... & remember that a Pool Table out of the box, still needs some work to be completed.

Yes, Diamond will be selling many tables at the Derby. I have forwarded this thread to Greg and Chad, they should be able to answer your questions.
