I am playing in my final match of my local 14-1 league tonight and it's a sink or float match. All I am asking is for anyone with nothing to do to post some constructive criticism and let me know how i do. I am just an average joe who don't get to play much any more, and as my coaches and mentors have told me, my problem is "left brain getting in front of right brain", but it is nearly impossible for me to "shut the brain off when i'm playing, among other things".

So I would like some outside opinion and some criticism, constructive or not. I'll post the link shortly

P.S.
you've been activated

When you go into action, play to win with whatever you got.
You can practice 'proper' shots or 'how would Efren play this'....
....but don't compete like that.

I agree with PT109. When actually competing the bottom line is getting it done & winning. It does not matter how you get it done just that you do get it done. You can not play totally brain dead but you should play fairly subconsiously with the focus on executing what needs to be done one step at a time. When I say one step at atime I do not mean to not focus on position as that is the next immediate need after pocketing the object ball.

If your brain knows the info from practice, just let your subconsciuos access it without any interference from the brain trying to impose restrictions or fears. As I said that does not mean going totally brain dead. If you go brain dead then the info is not available.

update

game started already, player would not give me 5 mins to set up, had to do it while he was shooting.

score 36-4
i'm up playing like a dream.
