Your cue is a First Catalog Model 8 with an replacement butt cap. Unfortunately the butt cap is the incorrect length, shape, & material. The orignal butt caps were 7/8" long. Also, First Catalog Palmers never had bumpers. If you want to put an original butt cap on your cue, Greg Antonakos has a small supply of NOS butt cap blanks of correct material that need only to be shaped and polished.

I really appreciate your expert knowledge and also your time! Thank you for that. I had trouble searching which one it was online even though I saw them cataloged perfectly. I just couldn’t seem to match it up closely enough to be confident with my determination. Maybe that butt cap was throwing me off.

Do you have any recommendations on where I can sell it perhaps? I live in central Jersey

And are you familiar with the sales of any of that model recently and what they may have gone for..... I only see outdated info everywhere I look. I’d like to arm myself with knowledge before I post it. Thanks

Values are all over the board, so even if I gave you a good faith estimate of what I feel it is worth, the market could vary by 50% in either direction. Sometimes eBay is your best option, although I've watched some good Palmers sell for less than they were worth and identical model Palmers sell for far more than their value.
