Canned food drive for WPBA?

Seems like every friggin' time I watch the WPBA on ESPN, Mitch or Ewa states how hungry (really/very hungry) the players are. Should we take up a canned food drive or something? :p
It seems like anyone with a reasonable grasp of the English language should be able to find another way of saying this.
Anyone else have an oft repeated phrase that is used that drives them nuts?
(I've quit watching pregame NFL shows because they always say the same darn thing week after week, year after year. "The defense needs to pressure the quarterback, stop the run, and defend the pass. (Duh) The offense needs to protect the quarterback, establish the run, and execute the pass.")

this is in bad taste, but - the WPBA players eat ... nevermind, can't bring myself to type it, but I'm laughing at home; THANKS.

I agree about the sports cliches on every freakin broadcast though. BTW, golf is the WORST!!!

Just recently I started watching Sunday Night Football with John Madden and was surprised to hear that the team with the most points is going to win!
Thanks John!

This is more of a mis-pronunciation, and it goes back a while. Allen Hopkins at the Challenge of Champions could never pronounce Fong Pang Chow's name correctly. First it was Fong Pong Chow, then Pang Fong Chow, then Fang Pang Chow, then Fang Pong Chang!

Here's another one... Danny Diliberto at last year's U.S. Open. He was in the booth and kept referring to John Schmidt as JOHN SMITH

I still like Allen, Danny, and Mitch. They make a good effort, considering they're making nowhere near the $$$ of a NFL, PGA or MLB announcer.

Oh, here's another Danny D. line that gets a little old. Everytime a player leaves his opponent an open shot, or plays a bad safe, Danny says he 'sold out' He says this at least 10-20 times per match!
