My reply to your pm was too long so.............
Well let me say first that I paid just over 900 for mine on ebay (it was new however, with only a few test racks). I was a little leary about spending that much on a plain cue, but my urge to win the auction got the best of me. It really is an excellent looking cue though, there are some pics on this thread: http://azbilliards.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=4477&highlight=zylr
I had heard a lot about his cues, and even talked to him on the phone and he wanted 1000 to make me a plain purpleheart and it would take him a year, so I held off.......untill I saw this one on ebay. This is by far the best balanced cue I have ever held. The feel and feedback when I shoot is very hard to describe, and as we all know, very subjective, but it hits REALLY SWEET. I love this cue. And I am a fanatic, I play 2-8 hours a day, every day. I don't know how he does it, but he does it well. The cue is very stiff on firm shots with almost NO deflection, and soft and smooth on your little 'dink' shots. Great action on the rock when you want. I put the cb on the center break spot and an ob center diamond frozen to opposite rail (long). With maximum side english and a firm stroke aimed at center of ob the cb only deflects between a half and 3/4 ball. AWESOME. Was it worth 900? Absolutely. Especially when you consider there a lot of guys out there making more ornate, fancier cues with many inlays for 1000+, and some of 'em don't even come close to the hit and feel of my Z. Trust me, I've tried 'em. I thoroughly endorse kerry's cues, and will probably have him make one of my design, when I can afford it!
BTW--Someone has already offered me 1000 for it.
Hope it helps,
David
