I had purchased these with intentions of making sanding mandrels. Unknown to me: a local machinist whom I asked to get me carbide many months ago came up with some right after I bought these. SO I have an extra set. The dimensions of these cylinders is as follows:
OD= 0.872 , ID= 0.572 , length= 1.04 all dimensions are approximate, just quickly checked with a venier.
I am selling two pieces as a set. My understanding is that these can be "cut on a wire" in half to make two sets if one wants to get more from them. I am asking $95 with priority shipping to anywhere in the continental USA FREE ! Paypal preferred.
ANyone with a metal lathe can easily make accurate cores for these in the desired thread size. Then a light press fit and have the carbide ground to the OD you need for your joint sizing. I have had grinding done in the past for $25 each, and I was charged that price when the male and female were screwed together as a mated set, so not expensive to make your own mandrels. Have a merry christmas all ... Lou.
