Just curious...how much of a breaking advantage does a carbon fiber shaft really give you when breaking? If a machine broke with the same perfect stroke 100 times with carbon fiber then maple...what difference would be seen? Or does carbon fiber only make up for issues in the stroke? I'm thinking consistency only...NOT ball spread.

I tried the Pred. and the Cutec cf breakers. They are a little stiffer but i didn't see much difference than breaking with my $100 J&J w/WhiteD'mond tip. Not enough to drop that coin. Rhino has their cf shafts on sale for 169. Might be worth trying at that price.

I had a LiSi break cue (laminated shaft and phenolic tip) - this was great for Chinese-8 - wasn't so smart on the American table games.
I switched to a PBKai with DI-pro, which was good, nice flex to it, hit well...
Switched to Ignite G, less flex. Being stiffer was hard to adjust at first, but actually, I think this is enabling a firmer hit from less speed in my stroke (this is purely subjective and feeling based). Been breaking pretty well lately.
I tried numerous CF and wood options, and didn't seem to feel much difference between them. Tip makes an enormous difference and is probably more important than the piece of wood or CF it's attached to... weight does also make a difference (but again, more from a personal feeling perspective)

I got a Rhino break shaft that I put on a Samsara jump break cue. Like your experience, it doesn’t seem a lot different than the original Samsara shaft and tip. I thought maybe I would try a different tip, a Samsara or white Diamond. While the break seems about the same, it jumps better than the original shaft.
I have a Gator with two "uni-locs". Breaks better than anything leather tipped. Jumper - eh...
Your premise should be restated. Your second sentence is better as it asks an answerable question.
The quibble with that is the assumption that the there is a perfect stroke. Or, a perfect break stroke. And, is that perfect break stroke perfect for 8 ball and 9 ball (no matter where the 9 is spotted).
This is the only time I will say it is the Indian.
I just went to a BK Rush from an OB break cue with a wood shaft. Honestly, so far, the BK Rush is no better at all. It’s slightly lighter so with an easy stroke there may be a bit better lower transfer but I can get more consistent and powerful full power shots with my old break cue I think. I have years of experience with that old cue though so I need to get used to the BK and then maybe I’ll feel different.
I was hoping it would be a little more forgiving. I have a hard break and like to pop the cue ball….sometimes that includes popping it right off the table. I have not seen any improvement in that regard with the BK Rush and that was my main hope.
I do like it, it looks cool and I like not having to worry about shaft dents and dings. I also went to a Revo playing shaft a while back and absolutely love that and got an Air Rush along with the BK and am liking having a longer jump handle so I wanted the BK for consistency across my cues.
But performance wise, it’s good but so is my wood shaft OB and so far the BK Rush doesn’t seem to better that performance wise. Time will tell though.

I really notice the difference in feel having moved to the CF Ignite G, from the DI-2 shaft. The stiffness of the shaft has changed the way I strike the cueball when breaking slightly. As for results, both did their job... I think the CF shaft is a little more forgiving (as in, I have hit some that I can say weren't ideal or perfect, but still got a solid hit and spread).
