Has anyone used Carpet Tiles in their room? I have a room owner I do tables for who needs his carpet replaced and is considering the carpet tiles. The advantage I guess is the tables will only need to be jacked instaed of moved and any future stains will be easily replaced. Any thoughts?

Tiles

People still remember the really horrible carpet tiles of the 70s that wore out really quick. New carpet tiles are very heavy duty and are the number one choice of large office buildings now. We have our showroom done in the industrial strenght tiles and LOVE it. They can be pulled up...powersprayed at the car wash...and put back into place when dry.

You just have to buy extra for spares when they get too worn or stained.

Upfront cost is a LOT higher. Installation is less money. Long term cost is WAY less when you take care of it.

Dont go the cheap way on them...make sure they are high quality. I even got ours on clearance from an office job that was left over. We got our $36/yard tiles for $9/ yard. Kinda lucked out there. Find a carpet place that does large office buildings and see what kind of deals they will make you if you wait for them. Good luck.
