Former NBA Star Jamal Mashburn kicks off
Vivian’s Kidz

HOLLYWOOD- The Seminole Tribe of Florida, along with former Miami Heat player Jamal Mashburn, will host a Celebrity Charity Billiards Pro-Am on November 11th, 2009 at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL. Jamal Mashburn played 11 NBA seasons, including time with the Miami Heat from 1997-2000, and then joined ESPN as an NBA studio analyst in 2008. Mashburn, along with current and retired athletes, local media personalities, and professional billiards players will team up to compete in a friendly 9-ball tournament. This event kicks off “Pool Players in Paradise”, comprised of the 2009 Steve Mizerak Championship and the 2009 WPBA Tour Championship.

Spectators are welcome to watch the tournament for a $20 donation, or may also enter into the tournament for a $100 donation per player. Aside from watching some great pool, guests will be able to mingle with celebrities, enjoy music, food, drinks and participate in a silent auction with unique sports memorabilia presented by Field of Dreams. All proceeds benefit pro-billiards player Vivian Villarreal’s foundation, Vivian’s Kidz, a non-profit organization for missing and exploited children. This year Vivian Kidz will be donating proceeds to A Child is Missing.

Vivian, also known as the “Texas Tornado” and ranked top ten in the Women’s Professional Billiards Association established Vivian’s Kidz after her adopted daughter was kidnapped by her birth mother.
