visited with Chad Carter down in Owensboro this past saturday. he has some really nice looking cues down there, hope to purchase one in the near future. have to watch the $$$ a little right now though.

also, was wondering what you posters out there think of an Ivory Joint? he had a beauty down there the other day, with an ivory joint. i've never hit with an ivory joint cue, just wondering if there is any difference between the way ivory hits as opposed to the stainless or wood to wood joint?

Absolutely, there's a difference in hit and feel. You're just going to have to try it yourself to see if it's for you or not. You might love it immediately or it might take you a while to get used to it...hard to say.

I own cues with both. The stainless creates a sharper, harder hit. The stainless goes click and the ivory goes thud. I play with both. You can get used to anything.

There is a difference between all three. I have no idea how to describe the difference, I just know I like the ivory better.
