I have been wondering how to clean the inside of my case from all the chalk or at least most of it. you can see the chalk on the tops of the sleves that hold the shafts. is there any ways to avoid this for whem i get my artisan by instroke.

i have a 3x5 artisan (great case) and the only place with chalk (other than the chalk box) is in the bottom of the shaft tubes, it's not much so it doesn't really bother me. The only way i can figure, to get it out, is to either use a shop vac or an air hose (wear eye protection... i wouldn't know anything about it :D...)

Thanks,

Jon

Jon,

What color did you get it in? I really want to see a good picture of the black and rust otherwise im getting the black and blue.

Maybe I should have mentioned it is from the tip of the shaft when i slide the shaft in the case. I take most of the chalk off maybe a papertowel would work good to get more chalk off the tip. I posted this topic half asleep at work, im just lucky i didnt hit the post button cause there was about 1,000 /'s in there. opps thats what happenes when you work a full time 9-5er and then weekdays 2-3 days a week from 6-2am or weekend till 3am at the pool hall but hey what can ya do.

Twiztid,

Clean the chalk off your tips before you put the shafts away.

Um, i have the black/blue in 3x5, and it's a really nice case (can handle me throwing it into my trunk all of the time, or the back seat, i don't like laying things down, it's quicker if you throw it :P), and i've seen the black and burgandy, and it's pretty nice, if you like burgandy lol. I don't know about the rust though, looks as though it would be nice. And Joey, was that you i saw with the orange/neon green whitten the other day???

Thanks,

Jon

Chalk dust

When you put your shafts away wipe off the excess chalk on something, carpet, napkin, or corner of table. Put your shafts in the case joint first so the tip is up. Your shaft will stay cleaner and so will your case. This was an old habit from owning an "It's George" case. Hope this helps.

I always wipe mine on the carpet before putting them away. I don't ever put them tip up though. My Instroke holds them too tight and they are hard to get out that way. With the tip down I can use the butt to get them out.

I've got a perfect tool to clean them with. I used to play alota tournament paintball and had some squeegee's left over (things you use to clean the barrel out when you break a paintball inside the gun). Well one type of paintball squeegee is a straight plastic stick with a carpet like cloth wrapped around the stick. What I did was spray some cleaner on the stick and run it down my tubes a bit. If you have a paintball field/supply around they'll more than likely have one. The most common name for them is "battle swabs".
