Well, they finally opened the new Champions. It is very much like the one in Frederick, MD. except they only have 9 Olhousen tables. Two in the front and seven in the back. Nice tables, clean balls, plenty of big screen TV's, and cold beer. It is a sportsbar, not what we would call a "Pool Hall". I was there Friday afternoon when they opened and again Saturday when I went to meet another AZ'er and his gal. Saturday, the place was packed with football fans.
You couldn't find a seat on a bet. There were 5 tables open all the time. It just might seem a little strange, but, they know exactly what they are doing.
Table time will not pay the rent!!!! They know it. Live bands Friday and Saturday nights. Plenty of free appitizers weekend evenings. Not to shabby at all. I will enjoy it at off peak hours due to my work schedule so I guess I am lucky.
