Championship Worsted Ultra has recently been discontinued. He's the story I got from the Illinois headquarters....

As you know, most Championship cloth is manufactured in Mexico. The Worsted Ultra was being manufactured in China. With some of the new tariffs put in place, it raised the price 35 percent. At that price point, is is close to the price of their Tour Edition, and slightly more then the Pro Am. It just wasn't cost effective to continue production.

All (or most) of the new Valley Top Cat tables came covered in Worsted Ultra. He said Valley wasn't too happy because it is an outstanding cloth for the money. They will have to find another option.

CPBA Worsted cloth Is made in China (i think). Trent from Toledo might be able to comment since he said he was a midwest distributor. I wonder if The Worsted Ultra was made at the same facility?

Yes, we have a deal on the table with CPBA, they are in China. I know nothing about Championship products. Sorry I cant help. CPBA is excellent for the money.

Trent.

Thanks for responding. Has your prices had to go up because of the new tariffs? Or did you have an ample inventory before they went up?

Are you talking about the Mercury/Valley(has Teflon) Ultra Hybrids? Those aren't true worsteds. They're woolens that are finished/shaved like a worsted. Tour Ed and ProAm are Championship's true worsteds.

No. Those are made in Mexico. This was an actual Worsted 21 or cloth made in China. Seyberts still has it listed, but they do not have it in stock. It would have been direct shipped from Chicago. Too bad too. It was priced right. Only $50 more the the Mercury Ultra.

Thought they quit offering that a few years ago. Huh. CPBA and ANDY are really good for the $$. Our place is testing out the ANDY right now on one table. Plays great. Heard nothing but good about CPBA also. Price is sure right. 160bux for a 9ft on Amazon.

The guy at Championship said they made the decision to stop production just two or three months ago. Said he has 4-8 foot and 1-9 foot still available. Make that 3- 8 foots. I bought 1.
