I have a predator 3k5 with a hex weight bolt but it won't loosen. I don't want to crank on on it to avoid damage to the cue. Any advice on how to loosen the caulking or adhesive used to keep the weight bolt from moving?

Just push more pressed. No harm at all. Good luck.

If you have or can find a long tip for a soldering iron, you can turn on the soldering iron, reach down inside with that tip, not touching the sides of the hole, and press the tip against the bolt. This will warm the bolt without burning the wood. Occasionally try unscrewing the bolt to see if the glue has softened. It will take a while, though.
My 2 cents,
Gary
