I would like to thank Cynthia for a previous post and give a big shout to all the girls( Val F., Alli F., Kristi C., Kim S., Kim W., Tiffany N., Gerda H., Karen C., Loree Jon., Belinda C.,Dawn H., Ewa L., Mary K,. Vicki P,.) Sorry if I've missed anyone, for supporting a charity event this past weekend, and a cause that means alot to me personally.
Chix With Stix Teal Tournament-'Breaking The Silence' of ovarian cancer. Which was the brainstorm of Veronica Walsh & Shari Stauch.
We all headed to the host venue- The Francis Marrion in Charleston on Friday where we teamed up with celebrities and sponsored players to play a team compition. The attendance was unbelieveable and it was a fantastic night, Mitch was on hand for introductions and Brunswick donated the finals table as a raffle prize which we all signed.
On Satuday we attended a luncheon where there were guest speakers, talking both personally and professionally raising the awareness of this terrible disease. Then it was of for more fun, all the girls teamed into pairs and guests had the oppertunity to be coached on different tables by different pairs of players, all teaching unique skills. Again, the attendance was great.
Well, I wanted to share this with you all and look out for it next year. Come along and give this charity your support and mix with your favorite players.
