Out of all the imported tables in this price range I think this is one of the best constructed tables. The cabinet is preassembled and for the corners and legs they use wood block construction vs. metal brackets. The top liner is finger jointed poplar. I was really impressed with this. The top liner helps distribute the weight of the slate and prevents frame sag.

Wood: Some sort of mahogany. Not to be confused with Hondorus mahogany but it is mahogany. When I was covering the rails I noticed they are really heavy.
