Cheap staples breaking

I'm about to go Rambo knife on these mothers...stop laughing @realkingcobra lol.

But seriously Gold Crown IV rails, someone used CHEAP 3/8 x 3/8 chisel tooth staples. Apparently made of pot metal they snap off leaving a nub embedded in the wood with little effort. Naturally they are stuck in there hard, squeaking and popping as I pry them out. Naturally they drove them in at an angle (face palm) Glen you may resume laughing.

Any tricks to this? My current thoughts this morning is to drive a small brad (or equivalent steel spike) down the sides to loosen their grip. The rails are a bit torn up from prior staples jobs anyway so I'll be filling in the damaged areas anyway.

patience by the 5 gallon bucket, take your time and dig what you can out. If the wood is really torn out, eventually you will want to have someone like Jack Zimmerman do surgery on them. For a quick over night help/notfix: heavy application of wood glue, make sure it gets in all holes cracks and crevices. It will be dry and tight overnight,

SOLVED! I worked out a fast foolproof method. Pry center of staple up slightly, cut in half and pry out each side with my guitar fret pullers! These grip right at the surface of the wood and pry out like a claw hammer. They even grip the broken staples and pried those out. 2 down 4 rails to go.

Just getting back into wood working after many years off. Took like 8 months to get the machines in this year with the Covid delays.

PM 15 inch helical planer. Scored a like new PM mortiser used for half price. That's my BuildPro table in the back for glue ups. 5/8 inch thick steel plate accurate to .000 to .002 inch flat!

Okay the router table got WAY out of hand. Drop kicked the lame Sawstop fence out of the shop and bought this Incra. Then needed a 2nd router table to mount it (face palm)

Somewhere there's a bandsaw...oh my rigging is genius here lol

Good info to know. Thanks and good luck on possibly the worst part of cloth work!

I call bs... far too clean. Are those marketing images...?....lol

I'm extremely jealous of your space, tools, and tractor.

These are the rails of my Gold Crown I when I picked it up. I think they were covered twice: once with tacks and once with staples.

I like a clean shop, hence the beast of a cyclone dust collector. The tractor has been great I use the heck out of it. I had a larger B model before this one with a backhoe when I was clearing my property and putting the lawn in for my new construction house. Ha there was this giant 10 foot high patch of blackberries...I raised the front end loader and plowed through it like a T-Rex for half an hour, after it was obliterated! lmao!
