woe, just won a local qualifier, to move me into the reginals, if i win that, i have a shot at the APA 8-ball single classic tournament in las vegas may 2005. anyhow, here's my point, in the finals, the player who just lost to my opponent in the finals warned me that he racks them very "funny". i said thanks, i'll keep my eyes out, well, i won the lag, and after he racked them, i went up to look at the balls, and WOW! they were all almost a half inch seperated! now, i knew the table and cloth were perfect, because i practised on that table before the tournament, so i said to him, "look, please re-rack, he said ok, and when he did it, his fingers were playing in the back row with the balls almost like tickeling them! isaid don't touch the balls, he said something under his breath, i finally said, i would like to rack the balls, he said no, i insisted, we went back and forth like this, finally, he let me rack, and walla, the balls came togehter perfectly, all frozen and the break was incredible, well it went on like that for the rest of the match, he kept racking bad, and i had to rack them myself. moral of the story, at least check the first rack!!!!!!

A 'slug'

He was trying to give you what is sometimes referred to as a 'slug'. I had a young up and coming player do that to me back when I played 9-ball -- and admit it when I pointed it out. He claimed I had given him a 'slug', which I had definitely not done. He just hit a lousy break that's all, and I must have been hitting them well, so he decided to do something about it Probably happens alot, but rare to have someone admit it...
