Once, an older guy asked me if I knew anything about art. I told him I didn’t care for Piccaso, colors everywhere no direction but I liked Rembrandt for his attention to detail. He said " son, your gonna make a fine straight pool and one pocket player some day". Years later I understood his thinking. 9-ball is a good game but bland, its color by number. Where as 1 hole or 14.1 has texture and it forces you to create. Its tough being a purist so young......

Good comparison!....I was a an art/technical drawing major in school, and that statement made alot of sense to me.....I think thats why I like 1-pocket so much, I know, there are shots I've played noone else ever has....that's kinda cool....Gerry

To be consistent, you should have switched the positions of "Art" and "paintings" in your quote above...unless you think "paintings" is higher quality than "Art". Hehe, I know i'm just nitpicking. Other than that, I agree with your analogies.
