Chicago area tournaments

Name any and all tournaments that you know of in the chicago land area.


YOu can always check with Inside English for the most up to date tournament info you guys! But here's what I can think of.

Hammerheads Billiards Pub in West Dundee
Monday: Handicapped 10-ball on 9 ft diamonds, single elim.,$15 entry bar adds $5 per player up to 16, play in 6 to play in end of session tournament w/500 gauranteed added, break and run pot, avg 16 players.
Tuesday: Dbl elim 9-ball on 9ft diamonds, race to 3 on both sides, $5 entry bar matches, break and run pot, avg 16 players.
Friday: 8 ball barbox dble elim., $5 entry bar matches, Break and run pot
all of these start at 8pm and have free pool before and after the tourney for tournament players


Rockford Billiard Cafe
Monday: 7:30pm start 9 ball on 9 ft GC's, $14 entry 3 dollar greens fees, single elim race to handicap, break and run pot free pool until midnight
Friday: same start time, $10 entry race to 3 dble elim 9-ball on valley barboxes, break and run pot, no greens fees and have to pay time after knocked out of the tourney

Carom Room in Beloit
Thursday: 7:30pm start time $13or14 entry 9 ball handicapped on valley barboxes, huge break and run pot, play after tourney for free on bar boxes.

Chris's billiard Cafe in Chicago
Thursday night 8 ball round robin...not positive though
Sunday: 9 ball handicapped on 9ft gold crowns, $10 entry race to handicap starts sometime between 8pm and 9:30 depending on how the TD is feeling that night, pay time after tourney.

Rudy's in aurora
Friday and saturday 8 and 9 ball tournaments alternate every week I believe on 7ft diamonds, no jump cues, winner breaks race to handicap, oonly 5 tables could last all night if there are more than 16 players

Quentin corner pocket in palatine
Advertise tuesday night tournaments but haven't had one in ages cause nobody has been showing up, 9 and 8 ball mini tourneys on barboxes supposedly

Main street in algonquin has an 8 ball tournament on fridays occasionally

State and Madison billiards in rockford was trying to get a tuesday night tournament going but I'm not sure what ever came of that call and find out, thats where hall of famer Dallas West hangs his hat.

The pool loft in joliet
Look for an old man in a baseball cap and he'll give ya a one-on-one tournament just about any time you want, his name's kevin :)

Red Shoes Billiards
This coming saturday 10-ball tournament $50 entry i believe nonhandicapped qualifier for acs i think should start around noon
Two weeks from then there will be a final sat tournament where one-pocket will be the game played, race to 3 and race to two on the loser's side, last one had 16 players, strong field but a great experience for anyone who enjoys playing one pocket, $75 entry fee for this one.

Chicago Billiard Cafe has a nineball tournament on 9 ft gold crowns on thursday nights I want to say, cheap entry good players, nice experience. Call them for details i haven't played in one of these but have a few friends that do...

I really like the Thursday one at Billiard Cafe. It is $10 entry and there are some good players. Also it is a race to 4 on the winner side and a race to 3 on the loser side. If you get kicked out early, for an extra $7, you can play till close.
