Each match will consist of:
A race to 3 9-Ball & a race to 3 8-Ball and a tie break set of either a race to 2 8-Ball 0r a race to 3 9-Ball.

Players will lag for the first break / the first set played will be the race to 3 9-Ball. The winner of the first set gets to break the race to 3 8-Ball. If the same player wins both sets he has won the match. If the sets are split they will play a tie break set. The players will lag once again, whoever wins the lag has the choice to play either a race to 2 8-Ball or a race to 3 9-Ball and also gets the first break in the tie break set. whichever player wins the tie break set wins the match.

Entry Fee $25.00 ($20.00 to tourney / $5.00 table fee)
Double Elimination / APA Rules / Alternate Breaks / No jump cues allowed / Play on 7ft coin-op tables / Tables open / Added money $5.00 per player.

The format worked well...Only had three matches go to the tie break..
We had 19 shooters sign up and play...not bad for the first of its' kind in Joliet Il. All of the players liked the format...The second set made them feel they had a renewed chance...

We are going to be doing one once a month from now on at Club BC in Joliet.

There is also going to be one in Aurora at Rudy's Place in Aurora on February 26th 2006. Start time is going to be 1pm.
