China to ban all ivory commerce by end of 2017

That's good news for the elephants, let's hope the rest of Asia follow up with a ban on ivory and other endangered species.
 
That will just raise the price of ivory. By making it illegal that simply increases the black market price. Poachers will still be poaching because buyers will still be buying. There are literally tons of ivory destroyed each year from elephants that die of natural causes.
