A good playing buddy of mine borrowed my almost perfect Scruggs SP recently. He happens to be one of the better wheelchair players nationally. In the process of rowing/wheeling around on a coarse ceramic floor he knocked a rectangular chunk out of the black buttcap about the size and depth of a penny.

My question is: Is a delrin butt patch/repair likely to be durable?? Is it applied on as a paste , allowed to dry then cut and polished on a lathe? If it's only a temp fix I may just Have Tim replace the TS cap. Do NOT want to lose the TS logo.
Don't have a local cue builder that I'd trust. Have had great experiences with Scott Sherbine's Profecient Billiards refinishes.
Sure appreciate you thoughts - just want my killer bacote sneaky back in mint shape.
