Cleaning Linen Wrap

What is the best thing to use to clean linen wrap? I've been using denatured alcohol and I was wondering if there was anything better.

Also, what do you use to prep the wrap for pressing? I have been using sizing (startch for ironing clothes). Is that the right stuff or, again, is there something better?

I use my shaft cleaner and water and then repress and starch it.
