Cleaning & Sealing Irish Linen Wraps

Hey there,

I just picked up a couple of older used cues and the irish linen wraps are dirty!

The wraps are still in good shape other than they appear to be dirty from being used!?

Anybody know how to go about cleaning these wraps? Can it be done? After cleaning should they be resealed with something?

Any idea how to go about pressing the linen wrap or do you need to seal the wrap with anything after it has been cleaned to your satisfaction?

clean wrap

I tried the advice of using hand soap off of the kitchen counter and I could not believe the black dirt that came off. It worked fine and did not cost anything. Now the wrap has some grip to it which is what I want. I don't want it slick, I want to be able to hold on to it.
