Clear Coat

Hi guys i was planning on making a cue or two and was wondering when it came to clear coat, does it glide in your fingers, ive used many cues and some of them seem to stick and dont glide through my hand, does clear coat do this?

The stroking surface of the shaft is usually finished different then the rest, only the joint area, and a few inches down the shaft are finished the same as the butt in most cases. If thats the area you are refering to sticking, the finish can be done a variety of different ways for feel. some like the finished feel of sealer polished, and others like the sealer knocked off the top and polished.
