CNC or not to CNC

I’m just a little curious on how you pool cue collectors and
Players feel about cue makers that use a CNC machine to do
most of or all the inlay work on a cue. For me personally
I think an old school type (even points and veneers) in much more
of a challenge to make than programming a computer and letting
A machine do all the work….What are your thoughts on this

From those who really know the ins-and-outs of CNC, I've heard it's just as labor intensive. Instead of taking the time to do the inlays, it takes a lot more time to program and prepare everything.

I have a great amount of respect for both, yet I still prefer a 'real' short splice.

It should be noted that just because someone does splices doesn't mean it's good. As many know, there are quite a few wannabe cuemakers. And I'd rather have a nice CNC piece from someone who knows what they're doing instead of an amateur learning to splice.
