I hear that there is a woman’s tournament in Denver Colorado soon: does anybody have ant details?

Doesn't look like there's anything coming up this month: Link
Although, this tournament is advertising an additional $100 for the highest placing woman.

Thanks Guru, someone was telling me that there was going to be a women's Colorado Championship? I can not seem to find any info. Mabe I heard wrong? :confused:
 
women's tournaments

Women's tournaments around here are apathetic to say
the least. They only draw 25-30% participation as
compared to open events, and the women don't want
to compete in open events. Women pool players are
not as dedicated to the sport as the men are, I am sure
because of other commitments, like kids, etc..

25-30%? You think that is apathetic? :confused: I think 25-30 % participation from women only, compared to an open; you are getting a lot of ladies to participate in a women’s event.

No problemo.

I can't find any info about a CO Championship tourney. My best guess would be to try and catch Melissa Little at the Wynkoop next Saturday and ask her. She does a Women's clinic there on the 27th. I'd say to email her, but since her site hasn't been updated since 2003 sometime she probably doesn't check it often.

I realize this isn't much help, but I'm just a techie who's good with Google that's newly returned to pool, so I've run across assorted CO related pool data on the web, but I have basically no personal knowledge of the players or tournaments in town (yet).
