Contact aiming with a twist

Ok, there's been millions of posts about aiming. Here is how I aim sometimes. Although I have a few other ways I aim. Works very well. Takes a little bit to get used to it.

START(
%AR2H3%BB8[9%CB6[7%DB8[9%EB8[7%FB8[7%GB7\1%HB9[8%IB8\1%JB9[7
%KB5[6%LB4\6%MB9\3%NB5[8%OB5[9%PW5X0%QR2G8%RV1V8%WD5D0%XS0H5
%YS2I9%ZW8Z5%[D3R6%\W0W4
)END

You find the contact point on the object ball(A). Find the spot on the cueball that will hit that point(B). It is the exact opposite of the point on the object ball when looking from behind the cueball.

The most important part of this is to aim using the contact points. Keep the cue center ball. You are not aiming with the cue whatsoever. So if you aim with your right eye then line up your right eye behind the two contact points. Same with the left eye. If you aim with both eyes center your head behind the contact points. If you aim with your ear. Line your ear up to the contact points.

The problem I had with this at first was that I used to always have my head over the same spot of the cue so I would have to compensate. So until I got used to it I would overcut the object ball using this system.

When you do get used to this system you will be able to shoot the balls without even thinking. Just line up the points and shoot. This type of aiming gets rid of parallax aiming problem which causes problems because balls farther away seem smaller than the cue ball.

Let me know what you think.

I think it's too much. All you need to do is to find the spot on the 1 ball. Remember it is experience that enables the cue ball to make the proper contact. The cue ball curves, there are pushes that exist, .. this adds too many variables.

Aiming is simple and does not require an elaborate system. The more you play and train your eye on seeing the absolute point of the OB in a line to the pocket, the faster accuracy becomes. Just stroke completely to that point as if your cue tip were going to touch that very spot.

Simple practice; As you are stroking on every shot, see the OB to the pocket by finding the absolute point. See the line before you pull the trigger. (Yes on some cut shots the pocket is difficult to see but if you keep playing this way that line also becomes very clear) Aiming is simple and it just takes practice and effort in seeing this line each and every time. Before you know it, every shot on the table will be simple.

All other systems will become too vague and too inaccurate as you improve, then you will have to chage again. Every one looks for simple systems thinking that their game will change magically. There is only one correct way to aim and every pro I ever spoke to about this topic tells me the same.

Stuff like the ghost ball and such are good to show someone who is very new at the game and only for demonstration purposes.

I think this is a very simple system. If you want english then line up center ball and then use whatever type of english system that you are used to. On another thread there was some discussion about how when you are "on" it seems as though you are hitting the object ball fuller. This type of head movement may be why.
