We did the tables in our club 2 years back using contact cement on the rails (for fixating of the rubber), applying on both sides of course.
However now some of the rails has loose cushions and we can see that the cloth is way to slack on the rails.
We are now redoing the tables fixing up the rails and changing the cloth but remembering back I feel that applying the contact glue/cement was a pain in a certain place.
So my question is then, is contact glue on spray cans as good as from a tin can where you have to apply with a paint brush or something else?
Any one with experience with fixating the rubber with this type of glue?
We used this type of glue tonight (done two tables - but only changed cloth) where we cut a pice of cloth, sprayed the backside of the cloth - folded it together and used this as a protector for the slate in the pockets. Worked great, in stead of those cloth covered paper thingys which needs stables.
Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.
