converting shafts

Hello:

I have three 'kind of expensive' shafts belonging to some cues, which fell down on my popularity scale. So, I was wondering if these shafts could be converted.

OB-1 from 5/16-18 to 3/8-10
Predator Z shaft from Radial to 3/8-10
ACB from Radial to McDermott Quickrelease

I have the following questions:
Does such a modification make sense at all? I'm no expert.
How much would I have to expect to pay for such a modification?
Would somebody do this job?

Greetings
Michael

All should be able to be done and run you around $40 to $50 each to convert.

The O.D. of the shafts are the main concern. What are they now and what do you want them to be. Chris's price in based on plugging the hole. Do rings need to be changed and finish applied to match the cues. The McDermott quick release, Which one is it, They have made three quick release versions in the past, Uni-loc, 3/8X10 and 3/8X16.

Hello Michael:

The OD of all three shafts at the joint is fine as they are. The OB-1 shaft is 0.855" which fits one of my older cues nicely and the other t shaft are ~0.842" which is a nice 'standard' size. I really would like the ACB shaft converted to a 3/8-16 McDermott Quickrelease joint.

Thanks for the replies so far
Michael
