While on vacation I shot at the weekly Wed night 9 ball tournament at Coonies. For $15 I had a great time even though I went 2-2.

What a break and run pot, somewhere upwards of $2500.

This is a brand new hall and very nice.

thanks

I like it too, very nice place. Usually play the wednesday nighter myself, though I have in a couple of weeks due to a bad back. Hoping to go this week, but doubt it.

I heard they were having a good 9 ball tourny on suday. Any details?

They have a pretty good set of tournaments coming up this weekend. It really is a nice place. Check out their website for more information and follow the link to "tournaments".

Was it big or bar tables? And what does one have to do to win the Break and Run pot?

This Saturday is on two 9 foot tables, last night I think there was still three spots left. On Sunday it is on 7 foot tables. There is still plenty of spots for Sunday. On the break and run, if your ticket is drawn you have to break and if you make a ball run them out. Basically BCA rules.

$15 entry fee includes a $2,500 Break and Run Pot ? ? :)

Surely that doesn't apply to everyone anytime, right?

break and run is available to anyone to get in....its eight ball on a bar table. The table they play it on for some reason doesn't give up many (read most of the time none) balls on the break.

Last time there was a sunday tournament brian gregg (sp) hit the break and run which was in the 1100 range.

Is there a limit for Sunday

I have about 3-4 guys coming up there Sunday. Is there a limit on players?

It is 64 players. The last one was not completely full, but it was close. Doors open at 9:00 am.

Calcutta at 10:30 sharp. $30 entry $10 green fee. Tourney pays top 25% of the field, the calcutta pays the top 12.5%.

Are you coming over Sam? I plan on going on Sunday. Hopefully the hog roast I'm going to, on Saturday night, doesn't kick my a$$ too bad. :)

I'm also going up there with a couple of friends. I shall see you guys there.

Just to keep this bumped, I'll describe the break and run.

$2 a ticket. One ticket gets drawn. 8-ball, run 'em out to take 75% of the pot (which was, I think, $3500+ on Wednesday). It hasn't been hit since Brian Gregg did it in May (paid $1200 then).

looks like I'll be playing saturday and sunday. If the field is anything like last time, the calcutta on Sunday will be huge.
