Wow!! Okay, Bad Memories....
I beat Corey there once on a Tuesday night tourny so many moons ago, it's laughable. I really only went there to see Jimmy Caras and let him see me play after he gave me a great lesson. But Jimmy was having problems with his blood sugar as he was a diabetic, and had to stay home. Later, it was learned he let his blood sugar drop too much and he went to the hospital early Wednesday morning.
Corey had to give me the wild 7 and out with two on the wire in a race to 5. To this day, I do believe I fouled a shot to get the win, but back then I didn't know how to call the foul. I think it was a double hit. Corey called it. I didn't know. He let it be. And then I had my doubts and it was so late in the night and I wanted to go home and to give the win back to Corey that Seagrill Bobby said no and I felt like shit all the drive back home (at after midnight and they still have 30 players playing and Corey is not one of them).
After all this time, I still regret that call I defended.
To Corey Deuel, I'm sorry, and I apologize.
