Corns in the Hands of a Pool Player
Perhaps one can tell another's game by the corns in the hands.
I have one mean one at the tip of my middle finger of my bridge hand. That gives away my bad habit of not resting my bridge elbow on the table, making my middle finger work like a door stopper.
In my stroking hand, I have one nasty corn on my palm an inch below the middle of my index and middle fingers. A loyal sidekick is a small one inside the tip of my pinkie. This says that I am a wristy player, often catching the cue from a loose grip at the end of the stroke.
The only times they get noticed is when I go out on dates. It's the corn in the palm of my my stroking hand that first gets noticed when I hold hands. Deeper into the night, it's the one at the tip of my middle finger of the bridge hand that gets noticed.
