Cracked Ferrule, can I reuse the tip?

I just had a new Kamui black tip installed on my Tiger ultra X and soon after my ferrule cracked a little bit. It doesn't seem to effect play that I can notice. Also if I send it to Tiger can I cut off the tip and reuse it?

I don't see why not. The guys at Tiger are very skilled and should be able to salvage the tip.

I've also seen people play for years with cracked ferrules and never have any issues. As long as it isn't making noise or the crack getting bigger, you can still play with it.

I would not advise continuing to play with the cracked ferrule. With the epoxy glues we use today the ferrule could have a strong hold on the shaft tenon. If it continues to crack it can also crack the shaft. Like Ryan said I have seen them played with for years also with no problems. But I have seen cracked ferrules split the end of the shaft also.
