Crystal rubber, is it good?

I hired a guy to move the table and he came to see the table this morning. He said it's better to replace all the rubbers too and it's about $75. I asked him what kind of rubber he is gonna use and he told me it's crystal rubber, all natural gum(?). Just want to know if you guys think it's a good rubber? Thanks again for all the help.

Also, he confirmed that it's a 1 piece slate table. I know they don't make 1 piece slate table anymore (do they?). And I know there are a lot of advantages of 3 piece tables (easy to move, easy to get leveled, etc.), but is there any advantage of 1 piece table? Just curious. :)

I bet you would get a lot of responses in the "talk to a mechanic" section with this post. They would probably know best.
