OK, I went to YoutTube and was watching a few video's on CTE and all seem to start with someone that understands CTE. Which video is the best to start with and what sequences is best to watch them in?

Those are all supplements to his DVD. DVD is best to start with.

I needed both the DVD and the online videos.

The youtube videos explaining perception using the same visuals on 5 shots was key for me to understand the system.

Thanks, I will have to wait until after Christmas to buy both DVD's. Cash is tight right now. Expecting big check next week, but it will take 5 days to clear back also, so it will be first week of Jan. until I have cash... Thanks to both of you...

You don't need both DVDs, the 2nd one covers everything the first one does and then some. Buying both would only be for your own curiosity what is on DVD 1.

If money is tight, you can watch the youtube videos for free, maybe do that 1st and then get the DVD when you can afford it.

You'll probably be confused and have questions, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

IMHO, the most difficult aspect to understand CTE is perceiving the correct approach angle into the shot. The other parts are fairly clear since they reference physical things like edges, center ball, 1/2 tip pivots, etc.. The 2 fourteen minute youtube videos on perception made it easier to understand.

If you cannot afford the DVD now, watch the introductory and overview videos explaining the edge alignments and pivots, then watch the 2 perception videos that explain the approach angle. If you can be on the table while doing this, even better.

the system can be learned very easily off the youtube videos ...ijs

My intentions have been for the YouTube videos to offer support and updates.
If the system is easily learned there then perhaps I should pull my horns in.

DVD2 is the only place where the system is concisely put in one place from A to Z and in a logical sequence.

you have put a lot of info into those youtube videos, in just saying. Now can the above average guy on here be able to put all the pieces together..highly doubt it.

I bought the Pro One video and must say I still don't understand what CTE is??

Basically, I need a CTE for dummies.... I practice and the ball gets no where near the whole. So for instance if I use a 15 degree perception. I imaging a line from center of CB to edge of object ball, then I imagine a line from edge of CB to point C on object ball. Then the video goes into pivots and stuff, but it does not explain it very well at all.

I have watched this video 4 times and it makes no sense to me. Maybe I am over analyzing this.

Yes, you are. I myself have experienced that...
The trick is........

1) leave your cue stick at your chair
2) use near distance cue ball and object ball relationship.
3) Master/train your eyes first in looking/staring at CTE line once it's easy, Train your eye to look for the aim lines.

trust me, train your eyes first in looking for CTE line and Aim lines.
think about the pivots next week!
