Cu that hits like a Schuler for $225

Just like the title. Nice starter cue with a firm hit that is basic but won’t be too much money.
Just buy any basic cue. I've had a couple Schulers and they didn't have any specific hit/feel. Just another cue to me. For this budget you're kinda limited in choices. A Schmelke sneaky is less than 200 and is a really nice cue. I just got a 60" one and all in it was around 180bux. Lotta cue for the $. The plain-jane Joss that Seyberts has for around 350 is a good cue too if you can swing the extra C-note.

I've never hit with one but back in the day everyone was raving about Schuler shafts.
I remember they had a different joint or collar on them but that's it.
I have a prototype of his with 6 shafts and my og was great. Miss it. Had this one straightened and love it.

Considering that schuler had like a dozen different shaft tapers for pocket and 3 cushion billiards, you have a wide selection of hit choices.

Nobody makes the joint, joint diameter or exact tapers like Schuler. If you want that you just have to get it. But it’s not magic. For 225 I always recommend Cuetec Avid. I like the hit. A few shaft choices. Takes the excellent Duo extension. I have a Schuler and have carom and pool shafts. But the new stuff works. I never play with the Schuler for whatever reason. And buying today, for pool not carom, I’d get Cuetec if I had a sub $300 budget.

I have an all-bocote wrapless Merry Widow original Schuler that I would sell for $250 shipped.

Let me know via message if you’re interested and I’ll pull it out for pictures.
