I purchased a used Cue in 1987 for $75.00 from the owner of a local Pool Hall. It included a case and i got him to throw in free rent for a year, cause i wanted a decent Cue to play with on my lunch hour, as the Pool Hall was just around the corner from work. I was told it was an Adams.
I do have pics, but there old instamatic prints and i do not have a scanner or Digi cam. I will describe it the best i can. Birds eye Maple butt, blonde, with Tan & Brown wrap. Stainless Steel 5/16 x 18 joint. Jim Rempe signature on butt a few inches down from joint. Black rings with silver band. Does anyone know about this Cue? Maybe when it was made or what if anything it is worth? I love the Cue and recently hade local Cue Maker Wayne Ball at Robertson Billiard supply make me a new shaft.:)

Adam did make a line of cues with Jim Rempe on it. They usually had a picture of him either holding or shooting with a cue on the butt plate also. If you were told it was an Adam at the time you bought it them it is safe to say it is an Adam. But if you were told this later then it is possible it was just another private label Taiwan cue that had his endorsement.

I still have the price tag. That said Adams on it. The guy i bought it from in
1987 told me it was an Adams. I called Adams, but they need me to e-mail a pic to I.D. it. There is no pic on the butt. Just a white butt cap with a
dashed ring and black 1/2 moon shaped bumper. A few local guys looked at it and thought it was a Richard Black or a old Rocky Tillis til they saw the "Jim Rempe" sig on it.:)

Yes, I remember those. Not the model you have, but I remember seeing some other ones, guys playing with them in the middle 80's in Tournaments. I have my H-13 Huebler back then. :D

I think this is before, Rempe did the deal with Meucci, so they could be from the late 70's early 80's? If I remember correctly, the name was screened like the "George Balabushka" is now above the points? On the Butt plate the Rempe figure was always in different posses, ether standing with a cue or shooting with one. I am getting to old to remember the fine details on those cues now? :o
