Cue lathe question

I was surfing thru ebay today and was wondering if this set up would be any good for basic cue maintenance.

Thanks Bryan

Possibly, and I have used a rest like those before, but I'd feel better with some bearing steady rests and collets instead. Also no tailstock And/or seperation between the headstock & tailstock to fit the shaft between, unless you chuck the ferrule up and use the steady somehow. If you have woodlathe also then may work better for you if you just want to do tips, ferrules & shaft cleaning. It can also be tinkered with and parts added to make it better. I think of a few Ideas, but someone already beat me to most of them, so I get what I need in that area from Him.;)

You could do tips on it and clean shafts. Though other functions may be possible, I doubt you could much else with any great quality or accuracy.
