Cue Lifts at joint when rolled with shaft on

If both peices roll straight when they are apart the cue just needs to be refaced!!:smile:

forearm could be warped. i just got a cue in with the same problem. it was unfixable. top name maker too. just goes to show you it happens. i handed it back to the guy and said sorry... no fixy
Maybd I am just a dumb cuemaker who doesn't know anything but I would really apreciae it if you could explain to me how refacing the shaft will take the error out of a warped shaft?
Then how is it going to take some of the error out of the warp?
As I understand it, it would take none of the warpage of the shaft out. However by refacing the shaft with the ferrule held on-center,it could reduce the lift at the joint. If the opposite were true of the shaft and the tip lifted, a refacing could also calm that senario. Could is the operative word here. I think alot depends on where the warpage occurs in the shaft. I would not call this a fix, but a band-aid. Probably for someone who wants to keep a original or long time playing shaft, or maybe for someone who can't afford to buy a new shaft right away.
It's tough enough for me to work with straight wood,
