Kevin,
I owned a Lancaster cue about 3-4 years ago. I'm not sure of the cuemakers first name, but I purchased the cue from Gene (the guy who ran the pro shop at Mothers Billiards in Charlotte for quite a few years). I was under the impression that Lancaster lived around the NC/Va area somewhere.
The cue played pretty good. It was a hard, solid hit, and if I remember correctly, the joint was a little oversized (around .860). The workmanship was good, and it was reasonably priced. I haven't heard of any Lancaster cues in the area lately, but for a few years they were fairly popular.
