Cue of thr Edda and a Girls Cue

Hi everybody,

my new stick was designed after my wishes from a cuemaker from Stuttgart Germany...

forearm and butt are made of ebony, the handle and the rings are of maccassar ebony

buttcap, joint and all the white inlays are made of ivory, the spear tip is made of silver

the Thor Hammer and the Snake are made from Ivory

I do not remember the name of the red wood used for the snakes tongue...

The spear symbolizes the spear of Odin "Gungnir", the snake the Midgard Snake "Jormungand" and of course the Thor Hammer "Mjöllnir"

I use a 314^2 for now, since I am used to it, but Sven will make me a custom shaft soon:

The second cue I like to introduce to you is the one of my wife.. a typical girls cue, you might say

forearm and butt are made of purple heart, buttcap, joint and handle are made from birdseye maple...

Sven did a great job, because all he got from me was a photoshop drawing of the hammer made by my wife and a "can you do a ivory snake around a spear?"...
also in weighting it became perfect for me and it creates a great hit throught the ivory joint and all the ebony...

and the best: if I have a bad day, I can stare at the cue and say "who cares.. I have a beautiful cue" lol

OK, finally got started playing my custom shaft, which is basically a "standart" shaft by Sven, using an "Ivory X" ferrule and a Kamui Black Medium tip...

Big change to the Predetor Shaft, but hits much more solid and consistent... Now I am only working on the defelction part and the quality ofmy shooting^^

ah, diameter is 12.7mm and it hits rock hard^^

A new love

As the buyer of my first cue refused to sell it back to me, I asked Sven to make a second one, with a few changed and additional features and without Ivory.
In the end, I am glad that I was forced to go this way

First of all again a short summary of the meaning of the symbols:


Mjöllnir, the Hammer Thor, god of thunder
Gungnir, the spear of Odin, god of war, which never missed its target
Jörmungandr, the serpent, which wound itself around the world of men "Midgard", she is the dauhter of Loki, the god of fire
additionally I added the keltic symbol "Trinity", which seems to have a bunch of interpretations, I just like it and it stands for my love for Ireland
Last but not least, a few strands fo hair of my wife (I guess this works without explanation?)

shaft: Jacobi Hybrid (rings have been adapted by now)
length: standard (sorry, would need to measure, nothiung special here)
weight: 17.5 Oz
Shaft und Butt, as well as the rings on the shafts: Sapele Pommele
handle: Marble Wood
serpent: Amarant
Thor hammer und spear blade: engraved tin alloy
spear shaft: Marble Wood Splint
Buttcap and Joint: Marble Wood (inlays here are two strands of hair of my wife)

(as you can see in the picture above, the shafts have been adapted to fit to the cue by now)
