Cue question

If a davis blank was purchased how much does that help with the construction of a cue , and how much does it effect the price. Is it a big savings with the final price of a cue.I would want an inlay in each point and 4 windows in the butt with veneers to match the points and an Inlay in each window.Just inlays in the butt are an option also.I want a traditional style cue like some of the buryl motteys that have been of the forum.I have some pics of what I want that I will post.If you look at pauls home page in the gallery that is what I like.I can explain in further detail if you pm me.I will also get some other pics. The pics I have are of the general design I want and woods and the other is an Inlay that I like,There can be modifications and the butt will have the inlay in a window possibly.

Many will refuse outright to use a blank, or customer furnished materials.
I would probably subtract the price of the blank from the total price, which would not save you a whole lot. I can't see anyone giving much of a price break since materials make up a small fraction of the total price on most cues.

They are made for people that want to put cues together that they don't have the capability/equipment/time to create themselves. There are a lot of beginner/hobby cuemakers with limited equipment that can expand their offerings greatly by using blanks.
