cue refinishing

im wondering if anyone knows of someone in texas i could get to refinish my meucci cue Thanks

i am sure that there is someone out there, but meucci does a great job redoing their cues and the price seems reasonable, i sent them an old David Howard signature cue and when it came back there were things i never noticed in the detail work that the years had hidden. They can be a little harsh to deal with and talk to but the work is excellent.

thanks i will keep that in mind

Also, how much does it usually run? I have a Tim Scruggs Purpleheart Sneaky Pete that has been used to break on 7 footers with the metal pockets off the rail. Now the finish has been stripped in long lines areound the joint and below, so now the lighter (maple?) wood has now turned blue due to the finish being stripped. I don't use it any more and will look into selling it, but want to know if it is worth my money, or just get rid of it as is. Thanks.

i cant find the invoice but i want to say that meucci rewraps and refinnishes their cues for 150 bucks, and they are happy to do a pressed wrap with or without spraying it (some people dislike meucci for coating their wraps making them feel like a sneaky pete) So if you want your wrap one way or the other i would make sure to tell them, of course this wouldn't matter with the sneaky and should be less expensive too. I had some loose ivory points and cracked and missing ebony on my cue and also had a new red dot shaft made (which they matched the original collar too!) and a rewrap/ refinish and got out under 300 if i am not mistaken, hope this helps,
