Cue shop on ebay.

Wanted to mention something about the ebay cue shop for sale. I offered him $2800 right away. we sent several emails back and forth. He told me that the equiptment was on its way to my house. this was 4 days ago. I havnt been able to get a hold of him sence. He played both me and ebay to get his top dollar. I would be verry wearry of this. I offered several times to pick the equiptment up and any date he wanted including the very next day. For some reason he only wants to ship. But I will say this. He offered to ship before receiving any money. Maybe that was just fast talk, but I do not see any equiptment arriving at my door step.

Probably not getting anything soon unless you won it at $3050.00....;)

Well, he offered the whole deal to me at 2700 cash two days ago. He sent some photos that look legit, but who knows? My plans were to pick it up myself and pay on site. No way would I send $2700 via paypal and wait for the UPS guy to show up. I am also suspicious of the whole deal, as anyone with this kind of equipment would normally list in the ad that he had a Hightower Deluxe and an inlay machine as part of the deal. The Hightowers by themselves have been bringing nearly their original price. People are just cue-making crazy right now. They should look at Ebay from the cue maker's perspective. A lot of "Custom Cues" are selling in the 150 to 200 dollar range. If you add your materials and setup costs, nobody is gonna make a killing making the latest Jones and Smith version of a sneaky pete. Geez people, have you checked the price of good used metal lathes lately? Okay, sermon over. Best of luck to the lucky WINNER!

I personally had my doubts about the listing. I asked several pointed questions. Many of them were ignored, and the story changed slightly regarding others. Maybe I am paranoid, but I was very suspicious of it and would not advise anyone to pay without a local pick up.

I asked about local pick up as well. That question was ignored, all he wanted to do was ship it for $2800. I think it possible he would have made the deal with as many people as possible and there would have been multiple people possibly paying and waiting for equipment.

If I am only paranoid, my apologies to the seller.

cue shop

I have even counter offered greater than $3200 since the auction ended. Perhabs unethical on my part but its still a fair deal!

He told me $2500 and he needed my address to ship without even getting payment, and would not arrange pickup.I was kicking myself I did'nt take it after auction end.

I'm glad i'm not the only one that almost bit for that "great deal".I'd really like to know if the winner actually gets the shop.

I wonder how many people have sent him $$ so far. This guy probably thinks he hit the mother-load of scams.

I sure hope nobody has. I smelled it out when he wouldn't/couldn't even tell me if the stuff he bought was new from Chris or used, and Chris didn't have his name in a record of customers.

Were any of you guys told his father died and he was trying to get rid of it because of that? In the listing it said retirement and health reasons.
