cue shop on ebay

Hi! I just wanted to list some feedback on some information that I received yesterday concerning the ebay q-shop a week or two ago. Some gentleman call me on the phone and told me not to do anything. Appeartantly he paied money to that interferon shipping company and got screwed. The whole thing was a scam, but I think most people hear knew that. It is so sad that we must tolerate people like this in our society.

E-Bay is becoming a haven for fraud

I am a photographer when not making cues. I was trying to find a used digital camera on Ebay and was assaulted by wierd offers. I lost the bid then got up to ten emails telling me I was the second bidder and the first renigged. This happened on at least six different bids I made! One of the first was supposedly from my wifes home town which we going to visit in a couple days. I wrote and told them I would pick it up in two days and pay cash. They came up with twenty excuses to not let me do that. Another time the original sale was kosher but I still got these second chance offers, I was able to phone the seller, he told me I was the second one that called him. Apparently he sold the camera to the high bidder, and I should report these offers to ebay. I did , ebay investigated and said they were indeed fraud. And they do nothing further! They leave it up to us to try and get our money back if we are cheated!
The moral of the story is that Ebay is not safe at all ! If the deal seems to good to be true, it must not be true!

Ebay is like a minefield.....I try and establish a small list of people that I have had success in the past with and only deal with them....if I find someone new that has an item I want I always will send them an e-mail, if they don't respond or if what they say seems fishy in the slightest way I move on...I have a saying "You're not the only gig out there." somebody else will possibly have the same thing....

I would never ever buy a cue from e-bay. I know a guy who sells cues there. He also sells some in person, letting people try them.

Anyways, he sells the crappy ones he receives on e-bay.

Don't ever fall for the "second chance offer"!!
I recently sold a 1984 John Deere Lawn Tractor on eBay, sale with without a hitch to a buyer in Michigan, and 2 days after the auction ended he left the driveway happy with his new investment.
I no sooner walk back into my house after bidding the gentleman farewell and a safe trip back up north, when my phone rings. Seems a friend of mines father was bidding on the mower as well and received 3 "Second Change Offers" for the mower from 3 different sellers...!

He forwarded me the emails to which I reported to eBay and the powers that be, I'm sure they did nothing as usual.

Kind of cracked me up though, offering a second chance offer on a item that was local pickup only and payment upon pickup.:D
Wonder how they planned to pull that off.

Actually ebay is pretty good at following up on fraud. Now if it is a quality of item dispute or such they won't do much.
