on a scale of 1 thru 10 what would you ssay your nurmal stoke would be. 10 being like the break stroke i ask because i saw mccready right after com came out while i was in long beach ca playing at yankee doodles and he was there fo a nine ball tourny it seemhe;d always stroke the cb with exactly thre right speed to get the object ball and cue ball to do what was needed it was a pleasure to watch,i swear he never hit harder than a 5 but he had such skills he was slways in line i try to immulate what i saw him do that night and it was prretty amazing how my game came up

Ideally I'm shooting 3's for most shots (if I always get the position I want), but of course a great deal of shots I'm not in the position I want, and have to do something else. Don't be confused over cause and effect, Keith isn't good because he doesn't hit the ball hard, he doesn't hit the ball hard because he's good. Learn to play precise position with precise speed control, and you'll find you rarely have to stroke very hard, because you've left yourself a natural angle to get on your next ball. But until you reach that level of precision, you're going to have to force some unnatural angles. It's not wrong to hit the ball hard, it's just a natural result of poor position play.
