If you have a medium tip and put it on a 19 ounce cue would it hity the same on a 191/2 ounce cue? Or for that matter a 18 ounce or lighter ??Help me solve a ongoing debate...Thx..

Yes and no...weight of the cue affects the feedback of the hit, as does the hardness of the tip. They both matter. If you change the tip hardness on the same cue, it will feel a little different. If you change the weight of the cue with the same tip, you'll notice a difference (not likely a 1/2 oz, but 1 oz or more).
